Sales order processing consists of the following steps which can be performed in any order, are optional and/or performed automatically by the Carillon system.  Carillon automates this process as much as possible for you through tight integration of Carillon's order entry window with the CRM system, purchasing system and the production order system:

  • Customer Setup - Setting up unlimited customers, unlimited ship-to's per customer and unlimited contacts (people) at each ship-to and customer location;
  • Track Sales Activities - Tracking discussions and other activities with new and existing contacts/customers in Carillon's fully integrated Contact Management (CRM) system;
  • Pricing and Commission Setup - Easily setting up sophisticated pricing and commission algorithms with granularity to the ship-to level.  Cascading multi-tier date-sensitive contract pricing capability is easy to set up;
  • Quote and Sales Order Entry - Entering new quotes or copying previous quotes or sales orders and then faxing or emailing the quotes to the customer using Carillon's Mail module. Convert quotes into sales orders (by clicking a radio button), copy previous sales orders, and/or enter new sales orders. Sales tax is calculated automatically (if appropriate) even if it is a will-call;

  • Generate Pick Tickets - Optionally Print Pick Tickets or Work Orders;
  • Ship Orders - Ship orders including the optional generation of packing slips, shipping labels, and invoices);
  • Front-Counter Sales - If you have walk-up customers, we have the front counter system that will let you process the sale, calculate sales tax, relieve inventory, and calculate change all in a single step;
  • Process Backorders - If the customer is set up to accept partial shipments, you can partial ship, backorder, and ship again as many times as necessary to complete the order.
  • Profitability Analysis - Generate reports by customer, branch and salesperson.
